Terms for using Home Energy Watch
These terms explain what the service does, what it does not do, and what we ask of each account holder and reviewer.
What the service provides
Home Energy Watch stores electricity usage history, compares periods, highlights unusual patterns, and prepares reports for the people who are allowed to review an account.
A flag is a reason to look more closely. It is not proof of theft, meter tampering, a billing error, or unsafe wiring.
Your account and information
You must provide accurate information, protect your password, and use only electric accounts and usage records that you own or are authorized to manage.
You are responsible for deciding who may view an account. Commission and review staff receive only the access assigned to them.
Utility data permission
A utility connection cannot be saved until an account manager gives permission. That permission can be withdrawn from the account at any time.
Home Energy Watch cannot change your utility service, alter your meter, contact emergency services, or act as your electric company.
Subscriptions and availability
Paid plans renew on the schedule shown at checkout. Billing details, cancellation options, and available receipts are provided through your billing page and Stripe checkout.
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but no software or external utility feed is available without interruption. Keep your original utility records.
